Default New micro-SLV! (links)

Hello All,

A new Spanish firm, Celestia Aerospace (see: ), was mentioned in the space news media this week. They plan to offer an air-launched microsatellite delivery service called the Sagitarius launch system. It will be comprised of The Archer (a demilitarized MiG-29UB supersonic jet fighter) and The Space Arrow (a modified Arrow missile). I don't know if the Arrow missile in question is one of the Israeli- or Israeli/U.S.-designed missiles that are used in Israel's "Iron Dome" missile defense system. The system can be configured to launch either 4 microsatellites or up to 16 microsatellites (CubeSats) into orbits 400 km - 600 km high, at just two weeks' notice. They will also build their customers' CubeSats in-house, in order to offer complete "turn-key" services. Below are links to two articles (the same one, in two different venues) on this firm: bit_999.html bit_999.html

I hope this information will be helpful.
